The 2002 WDCR-SCCA RallyCross season, after five successful and fun events, has come to a close. The current championship rankings, as they stand, will become final for the year. Competitors must have competed in at least two events in order to be considered for the overall championship. No one in the RU2 or SO2 classes met this requirement so the subsequent ties will not be settled and no awards will be given for those classes. Gary Lin, the sole competitor in MO2 for the year, will likely receive a special award for being such a special person (one that spins perhaps). Information about awards is forthcoming. Next year's competition will feature a class structure overhaul that addresses undersubcribed classes (we don't want Gary to get lonely). Special thanks go out to all the volunteers and competitors that made these events happen. Also thanks to the Blue Ridge Region for organizing their first RallyCross and allowing us to score it towards our series.
